The Queen Dethroned by phantomonex The Queen Dethroned by phantomonex
This is a dress I designed and made 100%. The dress is constructed of red burnout striped velvet, orange mesh, antique milk tabs (the wooden stoppers that used to be put in glass milk bottles), orange elastic, orange braided trim, and a special type of plastic that I had to paint layer after layer on a custom made Styrofoam form.

This was my graduation project from The Fashion Institute of Technology. It was featured in an exhibition there.

My inspiration was 1950's retro-futuristic sci-fi. (Think pod people)

Very artistic.:D (Big Grin) I like the bits of color on the bottom and that shade of red.
